A fab fortnight on
Hello, should you happen to be checking in. We had a lovely little break down in Dorset. Thanks to those who have shared their photos, it has been lovely to see all the different "versions" of the big day.

Dry but chilly!
Hello all, only a few days to go - getting excited! The forecasts are beginning to settle on "fairly dry but chilly and windy." I've had one or two questions regarding the group photos. We will play it by ear and take the advice of the photographer as to where the photos should be, but should any of them result in the need to venture outside it will just be for a minute or two, promise!

Lucky it wasn't last Monday!
Given that Cooling Castle Barn is down a country lane in the wilds of rural north Kent we are feeling quite lucky the snow happened this week!
The current long range forecast for next Friday is for more usual, less snowy Febraury weather. However, in the event of anything like what happend on Monday or anything else out of the ordinary we'll try to post any news on this blog, as well as be on the end of our usual phones.

Long overdue update
Hiya
Hope you haven't been checking this blog too often, as nothing's been added for a year! But now some leading up to the day information and tips can be added.
First a few reminders. Please book any taxis you need well before the wedding, do it now! The venue is down a country lane only just outside of the middle of nowhere. If you are taking the train back you'll need either a lift or a taxi there. We don't want you to have to take half an hour out from the party ringing round increasingly distant taxi firms and having to take out a second mortgage to be able to book them.
Speaking of getting home, we've put up train time tables back to London. The last train just after midnight will be just right for the end of the party, but make sure you get there on time!
Hotels - Bridgewater Manor has still got rooms, and it looks like they've lowered their prices since I last looked. The Holiday Inn still has rooms too.
Hopefully you will have got our request about menu choices. If not or if you need a reminder please email wedding@luandjon.com . We do need your choices in the next week or so as the venue needs to know in advance and you won't be able to change on the day.
